Dear Dreamer,
You know that feeling when your chest is tight but you can’t remember when it got that way? When your shoulders are up by your ears and your jaw is clenched and you’ve been breathing shallow all day without even noticing? Like, your body has been trying to get your attention—that knot in your stomach, that tension in your neck, that exhaustion that sleep doesn’t fix—but you’ve been too busy to listen? Yeah. That’s what this practice is for.
Here’s what’s going to shift for you in the next 20 minutes
Your pace is going to slow down. Like, actually slow down—not just “try to be mindful” slow, but that deep, embodied shift where your breath deepens, your movements soften, and you remember what it feels like to not be rushing toward the next thing.
Your awareness is going to settle into the present moment. Instead of your mind living three steps ahead or replaying what already happened, you’ll land right here, right now. Fully inhabiting your body, your breath, this moment.
That disconnection you’ve been feeling from God? It’s going to start to close. You’ll feel less like you’re performing spirituality and more like you’re simply being with the One who’s already here, already holding you, already present.
Why this actually works
We’re built—physiologically designed by God—to regulate through breath and gentle movement. When you’re constantly in go-mode, your nervous system stays activated. Your body thinks it needs to keep producing, performing, achieving.
But when you intentionally slow your breath, when you move with awareness instead of urgency, you’re sending your nervous system a clear message: “We can rest now. We’re safe.” Your parasympathetic system—the part of you designed for rest and connection—gets activated. The constant doing gives way to simple being.
When we pair that with John 15:4—”Abide in Me, and I in you”—it becomes more than relaxation. It becomes sacred practice. You’re not manufacturing God’s presence. You’re slowing down enough to notice what’s already true: He’s here, and you’re held.
Who this is really for
If you’re tired of feeling like you’re always one step behind. If your spiritual life feels more like a checklist than a conversation. If you’ve been so busy doing things for God that you’ve forgotten how to just be with God.
If you’ve tried to “spend time in prayer” but you can’t settle down long enough to actually feel anything—this is for you.
What you’re walking away with
Twenty minutes from now, you’re going to feel more grounded. Present. Connected in a way that feels real, not rushed.
You’ll have a simple breath prayer—”God, You are here / I am home in You”—that you can return to anytime your mind starts spinning or your pace starts accelerating. In line at the grocery store. Between meetings. When you’re overwhelmed and just need to come back to center. This prayer is yours now.
But more than that? You’re walking away with proof that presence doesn’t require perfect conditions or hours of free time. That abiding is accessible to you right now, exactly as you are. Not because you earned it, but because God is already here, already inviting you to rest in Him.
So here’s what you need
Grab a mat or just a comfortable spot where you can sit or stand. A cushion if you want one. If getting on the floor isn’t accessible, a chair works perfectly—you can do this practice seated.
Find a space where you can be uninterrupted for just 20 minutes. Silence your notifications. Turn off the mental to-do list for a moment. You deserve this.
Show up as you are—distracted mind, tight chest, hurried heart and all. Bring all of it. There’s space for all of it here.
I’m going to guide you through every breath, every movement, every moment of stillness. You don’t have to figure anything out or do anything right. Just follow my voice.
Your soul is about to remember what it feels like to simply abide, friend. Let’s do this together.
You Got This,
