When Internal Alignment Hits the Real World
Issue 026
Dear Dreamer,
You ever notice how you can feel spiritually aligned, mentally clear, emotionally stable, physically grounded—and then you check your bank account and it’s chaos?
Or you spend a week doing all the internal work, feeling connected to God, processing your emotions, moving your body, and then you show up to your job and realize you’re in the wrong place doing the wrong thing?
That’s the gap between internal alignment and external reality.
And it’s exactly what we’re talking about this week in Dreamer Circle.
The Work You’ve Been Doing Is About to Show Up
Here’s what I’m noticing—people are getting really good at internal work. You’re journaling. You’re praying. You’re going to therapy. You’re doing breathwork and body scans and nervous system regulation.
And that’s beautiful. That matters. That’s necessary.
But at some point, all that internal alignment has to show up somewhere. In how you handle money. In what you do with your time. In how you relate to people. In whether you can still see beauty in the mundane.
If your internal world is healing and your external world is still a mess, something’s disconnected.
This week we’re closing that gap.
The Four Places Your Internal World Becomes Visible
We’re focusing on wealth, mission, relationships, and wonder—the four external domains where everything you’ve been working on internally either shows up or it doesn’t.
Your wealth. How you handle resources reveals what you actually believe about provision, not just what you say you believe. The patterns in your spending, saving, and giving—they’re all showing you something about trust, control, and where you think your security comes from.
Your mission. What you’re actually doing with your days versus what you say matters to you. That gap? That’s information. It’s showing you where fear, obligation, or other people’s expectations are running the show instead of your actual calling.
Your relationships. Who drains you and who energizes you isn’t random. The dynamics you keep recreating, the conflicts that keep showing up, the ways people respond to you—all of it is reflecting something back about how integrated (or fragmented) you are internally.
Your wonder. This one’s subtle but telling. When you lose the ability to be present to beauty, to feel awe, to notice what’s sacred in the ordinary—that’s usually the first sign that something internally has gone offline. Wonder requires presence, and presence requires integration.
What Happens When Internal Meets External
Last week in the circle, we worked on integration—getting spirit, mind, body, and emotions to wake up and actually communicate with each other. People practiced the morning integration ritual all week.
And you know what started happening?
They started noticing the disconnects.
One person realized they’ve been spiritually aligned but financially chaotic—making decisions from anxiety they didn’t even know was there. Another saw how their internal clarity about their calling doesn’t match what they’re actually doing with their days. Someone else admitted they’ve been so internally focused on “doing the work” that they’ve stopped being present in their actual relationships.
The internal work is revealing the external misalignment.
And that’s exactly what needs to happen. Because you can’t fix what you can’t see.
Why This Actually Matters
Because spiritual alignment without real-world application is just theory.
You can have the most profound quiet time, the deepest emotional breakthroughs, the clearest mental shifts—and if none of that changes how you actually live? It stays in your journal. It doesn’t transform anything.
God didn’t just give you spirit, mind, body, and emotions so you could manage your internal world really well. He gave you those four so you could show up whole in your wealth, your mission, your relationships, your capacity for wonder.
Internal alignment is the foundation. External alignment is the structure you build on it.
And when both are working together? That’s when you actually start living the life you’ve been trying to create.
What We’re Doing Tonight
This isn’t about adding more to your plate. This isn’t about “fixing” four more areas of your life.
This is about noticing where the internal work you’ve been doing is—or isn’t—showing up externally. It’s about seeing the connections. Understanding the patterns. Asking the questions that actually reveal what’s true.
We’re doing group coaching. We’re processing out loud. We’re getting real about where the gap is and what it’s costing us.
And honestly? Some of the best breakthroughs happen when someone else names the thing you’ve been avoiding. That’s the power of doing this work with other people instead of alone in your journal.
If You’re Ready to Close the Gap
We’re meeting tonight at 7pm CT in Dreamer Circle.
We’re four sessions into the alignment phase. You can catch up on the recordings or just show up fresh tonight—either way, you’ll be able to jump right in. This isn’t sequential content where you have to understand Session 1 before Session 4 makes sense. It’s group coaching. It meets you where you are.
You don’t need to have your life together. You don’t need to have done all the internal work already. You just need to show up honest and willing to see where the disconnect is.
Here’s what you get when you subscribe to Dear Dreamer:
Tonight’s Zoom link (7pm CT)
Sessions 1-3 recordings so you can catch up
Every Thursday night live group coaching
Monthly courses on alignment and abiding
Access to the private community where we keep the conversation going
Monthly prayer sessions
Try it free for 7 days. See if it’s your vibe.

Come ready to connect the dots.

You Got This 💛
P.S. Internal work is important. But at some point, it has to show up in how you actually live. Tonight we’re talking about how.
Let’s connect. Not just in the comments, not just with a double tap. I want to know what’s been on your heart. Let’s talk, dream out loud, pray if you need it, laugh if you feel like it, just real space for real conversation.
